My wife and I took our dog for a walk at the beach on Thanksgiving night. It was just before 11pm.
We made our way down the boardwalk toward the beach when a very strong sent of cigar smoke hit us. It was so strong. The dog started sneezing. I started sneezing too.
We walked a few steps ahead, and we were looking around for other people, but there were none. The only people we saw were down by the shoreline, about 150 yards ahead of us. We walked back, up and down the boardwalk, trying to find the origin of the cigar smell, figuring that someone had thrown it down on the dunes.
There was no cigar. We looked everywhere. The cigar sent was completely gone.
And the couple? Well, they appeared to be a couple in their 60’s and I can assure you they didn’t have a cigar.
Interestingly, there is a historical marker that states that the location was once home to a casino, and the men used to gather outside and do business while smoking their pipes/cigars.
Paranormal? Perhaps. Bizarre? Absolutely.
